The Black Panther Party and the whole Black community that had to say something about their oppression was targeted by the FBI and most parts of the government. The Black Panther Party was made by two African American men; Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton. They saw an issue in the black community and they knew that the policemen wasn't going to try to help them. They stood against police brutality and gang violence hurting their people. The government did like how the black community was helping their own people. they also started to empower black people. You can see more about this on the about of the BPP page. Their were a lot of activist that were against the Civil Rights Movement or had different views. But, the government ended up targeting the people that wanted peace.
